Three weeks till Thanksgiving and our oven is broken!  Doh!  And since we're hosting Thanksgiving dinner we have to hurry up and get a new one.  I'm not up on the latest in oven technology, is there anything that we should be looking for?  Any new must have features?  Is there a particular brand that is best?  Thanks.

Aww that sucks.
I wouldn't go too fancy on the oven. You guys don't use it all that much do you? You should check Consumer Reports, of course.

I have no idea whatsoever.

You should look for an oven that uses at least two methods of heat transfer. Convection and radiation are always good, but if you can find a plasma-powered unit, that'll be the quickest route to scorched meats.

I was thinking that I might just take the turkey out back, cover it in gasoline and light it up. Should give it a unique flavor too.

you can always do the deep fried turkey (which apparently is truly the way to go for succculent meaty treats.

and as far as an oven goes, check reviews and for the love of god make sure it has a gas range as opposed to those electric range bullshits.
