Dreaming of a white Christmas
Dec. 25th, 2007 01:53 pmAnd I got it! Thanks Santa!
miss_jeannie and I are staying with my parents in a small town in Colorado. We woke up this morning and it was snowing and everything was covered in white!! It's very pretty. Now we're about to sit down for our third Christmas meal. Time to unbuckle the belt.
( Here's a couple pictures of me and Jeannie in the snow. )

Three weeks till Thanksgiving..
Nov. 7th, 2007 11:34 amThree weeks till Thanksgiving and our oven is broken! Doh! And since we're hosting Thanksgiving dinner we have to hurry up and get a new one. I'm not up on the latest in oven technology, is there anything that we should be looking for? Any new must have features? Is there a particular brand that is best? Thanks.
So, this bird walks into a store....
Sep. 20th, 2007 04:51 pm A seagull in Scotland has developed the habit of stealing chips from a neighborhood shop. The seagull waits until the shopkeeper isn't looking, and then walks into the store and grabs a snack-size bag of cheese Doritos. Once outside, the bag gets ripped open and shared by other birds. The seagull's shoplifting started early this month when he first swooped into the store in Aberdeen, Scotland, and helped himself to a bag of chips. Since then, he's become a regular. He always takes the same type of chips. Customers have begun paying for the seagull's stolen bags of chips because they think it's so funny.
Very funny!

It's a video and don't worry there is no nudity, just dirty talk.

Kwik-E-Mart
Jul. 8th, 2007 05:45 pm
The other day after work I went by the local Kwik-E-Mart, which normally would only exist in the Simpsons show. But 7-Eleven decided to convert 20 of them around the nation to Kwik-E-Marts to show that they have a sense of humor (and to cash in on the marketing for the upcoming Simpsons movie). The place was packed, there was a line to get in. Most of the people weren't buying things, they were just hanging out and talking like it was a bar or something. It was very silly. I wanted to buy some Buzz Cola but they were all out. I did get a Squishee though.

I bought an iPhone!
Jul. 3rd, 2007 11:37 pmNOT!
But I do think Apple is rather cruel for not telling anyone that there were plenty, so you didn't have to camp out to get one. I checked Apple's site Sunday night and they were still in stock in several local stores.
Anyway they are sucky slow on the internet, we're talking old school modem speeds here, yuck. But they are pretty and shiny!

LJ for cell phones!
Aug. 16th, 2006 08:42 pmFor fun I wrote a little Live Journal client for internet enabled cell phones. It will let you read your friend's journals from your phone.
Give it a try, just go to the browser on your phone and go to ljroadie.com to download it.
It's a work in progress and I have I have more features to add (like posting), but it works! Comments on it are appreciated.
Note: It's best to use with unlimited data plans because reading journals on your phone can use up bandwidth.
